Farm Animal Coalition has produced a snapshot of the NGO movement in favor of food systems reform across Asia in 2024.

We wanted to deepen our understanding of how the movement has grown, and what its current position is in terms of people power and the funding that enables it, and to ask ourselves -are there any opportunities for us to increase the capacity of the sector, so that we may better collaborate with other actors to accelerate the reform we all need?

It is clear when looking at our movement in other parts of the world that NGOs do play a crucial role in changing the attitudes and behaviors of consumers and institutions. For this reason, we believe that, even though the reimagining of the Asian food system will involve many stakeholder groups, the report below focuses on an important sector.
